Edward Esko
1950 - 2021

Edward Esko

Our friend Edward Esko passed away on December 11, 2021 at the age of 71. He is most well-known to our readers as the co-founder of Quantum Rabbit (QR), a New England company working on transmutation, nuclear remediation and low-energy nuclear reactions (LENR). He, Alex Jack and Woody Johnson co-founded QR in 2005. Esko published numerous reports in Infinite Energy, most on transmutation work done at QR labs at various locations around New England. Esko wrote many books on this topic, including: Cool Fusion; Corking the Nuclear Genie; In Search of Nanonovae; Low Energy Transmutation of Nuclear Waste.

Cool Fusion is a collection of many of the IE articles by Esko. In Issue 100 (2011), Dr. David Nagel reviewed the book and the QR work. He noted, “For years I have been grumping that much of the literature on transmutations does not include proper chemical analyses before and after experiments. The QR team is an exception.” Nagel called the book and experiments “an important contribution to the development of a new paradigm of the formation of elements.”

From 2008 to 2011, IE technical editor and New Energy Foundation chairman Bill Zebuhr witnessed numerous lab experiments at QR on transmutation of heavy elements, including gold. Zebuhr said, “I was impressed with the experimental set-up, the workers involved and the analyses that showed positive results.”

Esko was very involved in macrobiotics and studied with Michio and Aveline Kushi; last year he re-released Kushi’s The Philosopher’s Stone, with updated information about transmutation. Esko founded the International Macrobiotic Institute and co-founded Planetary Health. He authored or co-authored over 30 books on macrobiotics.

A wonderful obituary highlighting the life and work of Edward Esko is available.

In it, we learned something new about our friend. He recorded numerous songs under the names Liberation News Service and Esko Affair. Ed was truly a remarkable man. He will be missed by all who knew him. His work will carry on at Planetary Health and QR.
